Clarewood operates on a quarter system. Students normally take two courses per enrolled quarter.

Students generally complete three enrolled quarters during each academic year.

One quarter may be taken as an annual vacation after the student meets F-1 eligibility requirements and receives approval from the school’s Designated School Official.

Each quarter is expected to include approximately 2–4 scheduled in-person class meetings, with the remaining academic work completed according to the course format and faculty schedule.

Eligible graduate students may be considered for CPT authorization beginning in their first term when practical training is an integral part of the curriculum and all school and federal requirements are satisfied.

CPT is not automatic or guaranteed. Students must have an eligible position and receive written authorization from the school’s DSO before beginning employment.
